We are looking for a Electrical Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
RoHS Engineer, Electrical
Job Description:
Works on RoHS (restrictions on hazardous substances) compliance for electrical hardware.
Collects, analyzes and archives component information related to RoHS compliance.
Supports supplier engineers and interacts with suppliers, commodity management, procurement and design engineering regarding RoHS compliance.
Focus commodities: electronic components (passives, actives, memory, linear, logic, etc.)
Roles and Responsibilities:
Work with suppliers to obtain RoHS compliance information
Obtain and interpret supplier road maps related to RoHS compliance
Compare hardware and products to determine RoHS compliance status
Create RoHS supporting documentation in Agile using the MCO process
Provide RoHS compliance support as required for electrical hardware
Qualifications:
Associate or BS degree in electrical engineering is desirable.
Experience working in a supplier engineering or procurement environment.
Basic knowledge of electrical components (passives and actives).
Must be able to read and understand component data sheets.
Basic computer skills and experience with MS Excel spreadsheets.
Experience with Agile software and MCO?s is desirable.
Good structured problem solving and failure analysis skills.
Self motivated with good organization skills and habits.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
